In 1983, under the leadership of Executive Director Jane Aspnes, the Fairbanks Symphony Association established the FSA Endowment Fund.
Over the last two decades we have seen a significant drop in monetary support from State, Federal and Local government agencies and corporate entities. Because of the foresight of Jane Aspnes, the generosity of community members and the hard work of the FSA Board of Directors, staff and many volunteers, the Fairbanks Symphony Association has an Endowment of over $900,000. This fund will help to ensure the future of the FSO, ACO and its subsidiaries.

Gifts to the Endowment are invested and only a portion of the income earned from the fund each year can be used for Symphony programs. Gifts to the Fund can be for general operating support or designated for a specific purpose such as New Ventures (commissioning a presentation of new works), scholarships, Arctic Chamber Orchestra touring, and Youth Orchestras. These represent the current categories in the Endowment Fund. You can designate your gift to one of these areas or give us your ideas on other designations. Endowment gifts afford naming opportunities and include concert or series endowments, educational programs, special projects and more. Gifts may also be recognized in honor of or in memory of a loved one.
