Tenor Josh Shaw is happy to be singing the role of Pinkerton with Opera Fairbanks. Mr. Shaw was last seen in this role at Opera in the Ozarks in the summer of 2007. Other recent credits for the young tenor include Rodolfo in La Boheme with Opera Las Vegas, Alfredo in La Traviata with Opera Pasadena, Riverside Little Opera, and Opera in the Ozarks, Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus with Intimate Opera, and Ferrando in Cosi Fan Tutti with Centerstage Opera. Other favorite roles include Don Jose in The Tragedy of Carmen, Ruggero in Puccini's La Rondine, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi. Mr. Shaw has a Master's of Music degree in Opera and Music Theatre Performance from Southern Illinois University and performs in musicals regularly including Oklahoma! (Curley), Parade (Hugh Dorsey), Damn Yankees (Smokey), and a national tour of A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit). Mr. Shaw is also a Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions District Winner. Mr. Shaw will next be seen reprising the role of Edgardo with Riverside Little Opera.
